8 people, including a pedestrian, were injured when a pickup ran a stop sign and rammed into a Isuzu Rodeo near the BelChina Bridge after midnight on Saturday. No one was seriously hurt but tonight police say the pickup's driver 30-year-old Luke Collymore was in the wrong and he is facing a long list of charges.

The accident occurred around midnight when Eileen Anthony says she was driving her Rodeo southbound on North Front Street when a pickup which was heading from Douglas Jones Street ran the stop sign and crashed into the left hand side of her Rodeo. The impact sent Anthony's Rodeo spinning, it landed on the divider and the pickup went head on into a lamppost.

Collymore was driving the pickup and he received an injury to his forehead. His passengers 20 year old Jerome Marshall and Jason Watler were also injured. Meanwhile Eileen Anthony and her three passengers received varying degrees of injuries. The collision also left an eighth man in the hospital, 43-year-old Mark Flowers. Flowers told us that he wasn't in either vehicle but he still got hit.

Mark Flowers, Injured Pedestrian
"I was just walking and two vehicles crashed and I got caught up in it, that's all. I was trying to cross Bel-China Bridge."

Keith Swift,
What are your injuries?

Mark Flowers,
"I have a injury to the back and my foot was chopped open."

Keith Swift,
Did you see it coming?

Mark Flowers,
"Yes but I didn't expect to get hit."

Keith Swift,
Who do you blame?

Mark Flowers,
"The driver of the pickup most naturally because he had a stop sign

which he didn't obey."

The pickup's driver Luke Collymore left the hospital on Sunday and he is now facing five counts of negligent harm, and a count each of driving without due care and attention, failure to conform to a traffic sign, driving without insurance, and operating an unlicensed vehicle.
