I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, that's the explanation from Eddison Chee who was targeted in a shooting in Belize City on Saturday night. And it wasn't just any old shooting; as we've reported, Chee was along with Michael Samuels at the corner of Bishop and West Streets around 9 pm when they were allegedly shot at by Leroy Rhaburn Jr. and Brent and Burton Garoy. It is believed that shooting led to another three hours later in Taylor's Alley which left a four month old baby boy with a fractured arm and his mother paralyzed for life. A concerned Chee today told us that he played no part in either shooting; he doesn't know any of the personalities involved, and he was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. He asked us to distort his face.

Eddison Chee,
"I would like to make the public know that I am not into those kind of things. I never retaliate back on anyone and in fact I don't even know the guys that shot after me or who shot in my direction because I was beside someone else too. It could have been anyone of us and its just that I think I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and I just want the public to know that I am not into those kind of things. Whoever knows me out there know that I don't do these kinds of things. I just want to say thank God I didn't get hurt or anything. I just want the public to know."

Leroy Rhaburn Sr. and the Garoy brothers have been charged for the attempted murder and aggravated assault of Chee as well as the other alleged victim.
