Two Bowen and Bowen employees have been charged with stealing diesel fuel from the company. Investigations show that at 3:05 am, security guard 28-year-old Tommy Ben Aknunmi drove the van into the compound claiming that he was going to wash the vehicle. A suspicious security guard called his supervisor who dispatched a security officer. That KBH officer checked and found another employee, Melby Bol, near the van. He also found a hose connected to the company diesel fuel tank which was extracting diesel into the barrels inside the white van. The supervisor called police and they found 8 containers; 6 had 55 gallons in each, 2 had 35 gallons each.
This morning both men pleaded guilty and were fined $1,000 each or in default 10 months in prison. The men have until the end of March to pay the fines.
