6 Marijuana Plantations Burnt in O/W

Police are reporting that 6 marijuana plantations have been destroyed in the Orange Walk District. Personnel from the Anti-Drug Unit and the Orange Walk formations made their way to an area some 4 miles east of Rhaburn Ridge Village near the Belize-Orange Walk border where they found 6 marijuana plantations. The discovery amounted to some 62,000 mature plants which were all uprooted and destroyed.

It is of note that this is the fist discovery of marijuana plantations close to populated areas in quite some years. It is also of note that last week Wednesday the decomposing body of a Guatemalan man known as Kevin was found in that very area near a shed overlooking a farming area.
