Police: Ex-Boyfriend Killed Pomona Woman

When 26-year-old mother of four Lydia Smith was found strangled to death in her bed at daybreak on Tuesday, it had every sign of a crime of passion. Now, police investigators have confirmed that they believe so as well. Lydia Smith's ex-common law husband 31-year-old Marlon Hyde of Cotton Tree Village has been charged for murder. Hyde and Smith had a relationship dating back 6 years and it had a history of abuse. That relationship ended three weeks ago and Smith moved from the Cayo District to her mother's home in the Pomona Valley.
