A bus driver died last night in the Stann Creek District and the accident happened just before he picked up students from the Agricultural and Natural Resource Institute, formerly known as Lynam College.
Around 5 yesterday, Luis Sanchez was driving on the Canada Hill Road, nine miles from Dangriga, when he lost control of the bus, and it tumbled down the embankment on what's known as Canada Road. Sanchez appeared to have jumped from the bus before it collided into a tree. But while the collision didn't kill him it appears the impact of his fall did. Police found his mangled body 15 yards behind the bus.
It could have happened at a worse time because Sanchez was on his way to pick up 60 students from ANRI.
