'Old Bum' Sticks Knife in Francis Simon's Throat

Police are investigating the circumstances that left a Belize City man at the KHMH with a knife stuck in his neck. Yesterday, 40-year-old Francis Simon of Slaughterhouse Road, went to the emergency room with a knife's blade stuck in his neck. It was about 2 inches below the left ear and x-rays indicate that it is about half way from coming out on the other side. Simon was at a residence on Cleghorn Street when he was approached by a man identified only as "old bum." There was a misunderstanding and the two started to fight which is when 'Old Bum'stabbed Simon to the neck. Simon is expected to recover while police are looking for the man known as 'Old Bum.'
