O/W Toddler Died from Drowning

The post mortem examination on the body of 6-year-old Artemio Mendez Jr. was conducted today. The autopsy showed that the child died of asphyxia as a result of drowning. As we reported, Mendez had went missing in his home village of August Pine Ridge on Sunday evening. He had been picking cashews with his cousin and they then went to swim in a man made pond about a thousand feet from his home. His body was found in the pond at 10:45 yesterday morning.
