For a week now, 16-year-old high school student Davina Rowland has been missing. Her mother, Martha Swift says that Davina left home on Thursday of last week, saying she was going to school. She hasn't returned home since, and today her desperate mother, felt she had nowhere else to turn, and so she came to us to appeal for her daughter's safe return home.

Martha Swift, Daughter is Missing
'I am just appealing to whosoever has my child, and the other two minors, because three of them are minors. This is the first time she has ever done something like this and I just want her to know that she left a loving home, she knows that, and I am always there for her. She could always feel free to come back home and we could work out whatever problems, I don't know what is her problem, I don't know because the only thing I could say is that maybe it is the rules, peer pressure, her friends had wooed her into running away.

I would just want to tell you Davina that mommy is here for you and nobody out there will love you the way how I love you as a mother. If you friends are setting you up to do something like this, they are not your friend. Always remember that. Your friends would want the best for you and the best thing is for you to be in a loving home which you left."

Anyone with information on Davina Rowland can contact the Police Department or her mother at telephone numbers 207-3926 or 600-8522.
