It is two days after the Brannon brothers were killed and police have made no arrests but tonight are questioning four people. We'll tell you who those people are in a bit...but first, to well known deejay and concert promoter James Busch, also known as DJ Busch. He was detained on Sunday morning and finally released this morning after he was arraigned in court on an unrelated charge of drug possession for 6 grams of marijuana found in his house.

Yesterday police told us Busch was being investigated for possible involvement in the Brannon killings and his vehicle might have been used in the crime. At no time however was he the primary suspect in the murder. And neither did his long detention result in a murder related charge, and this evening after more than 72 hours in custody, Busch spoke out for the first time. In the presence of his attorney Kareem Musa, Busch read for us a prepared statement in which he proclaimed his innocence. We air that statement unedited.

James Busch, 'DJ Busch'
"First and foremost I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt condolences to the Brannon family for the loss of Kevin and Phillip. I would just like to reassure the family that I James Busch did not have anything to do with the loss of their loved ones nor would I do anything to hurt or to cause harm to any of them.

In relation to the events that transpired on Sunday morning after the concert, I can only give an account of what I did and can only speak on my own behalf. I can say with all certainty that neither myself nor my vehicle was involved in the unfortunate incident that took the lives of the Brannon brothers.

Since being detained on Sunday morning on a totally unrelated charge, my name, my career, my reputation fell victim to the sensationalism of our media. My photo was published in a newspaper. My image and name tarnished on national television.

At the end of the day I can safely say that I hold no malice towards the police department and I hold no malice towards the various media houses. My only request is that my name be cleared and a retraction and an apology be posted by the media houses that had misinformed the Belizean public.

Finally I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all my family, my friends, and my supporters who have kept the faith and stood by my side throughout this unfortunate ordeal."
