Four pounds of crack cocaine for a crack-head it may sound like a lifetime supply but to the police it's a major bust. Last night, a patrol team on Cran Street saw 35-year-old Russell Helmsley bolt from an open area as the patrol car approached. Police tracked him down, and brought him back to the area where they found 1.8 kilos of crack cocaine portioned off into 5 plastic bags portioned, as it were, into wholesale and retail servings. Helmsley also had $2,900 in cash on him which police believe to be the proceeds of drug sales. Helmsley has been charged for drug trafficking.
