Police continue to investigate the killing of a family of three in Blackman Eddy. Belmopan police have not made any arrests and have not identified any suspects. They are first trying to identify the motive - which, for the time being appears to be a land dispute.
The house in which the family was killed sits on a 14 acre farm owned by Lincoln Casey. It has seen two murders, the first on May 26, 2005, and the next one 53 weeks later, sometime between Thursday June first, and Saturday June third. On Saturday, father, 26 year old Fabain Oroman, wife 22 year old Lucilla Diaz Hernandez and their 10- month old child Alexander Oroman were found in their home. They had been killed with machetes. Their bodies were then placed on a bed and burnt.
