Security Guard Accused of Rape

A 29-year-old security guard has been charged with attempted rape and burglary. Solomon Gabourel appeared in Magistrate's Court number two yesterday where he was formally charged with attempted rape and burglary. A teenaged girl reported to police that on May 21st the man she identified entered the home of her mother by forcing the front door. Once inside he tried to rape her but she managed to escape. As a result Gabourel was picked up by police and charged. In court yesterday he was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 and told to return to court on July 13th.
