It's called My Refuge Road, a left turn at the western end of Roaring Creek Village but it was no refuge at all last night for a Benque Viejo taxi man. Around 7:30 last night residents who live about half mile down the rarely trafficked road say they heard a car pull up, and saw a man thrown out of the passenger side. They say, they then saw two other men violently struggling with him. After a couple minutes of that, they left him there. Neighbors in the sparsely populated area rushed out to find a Hispanic male, dead.
Police were called, and they report that he had been stabbed multiple times, bore multiple bruises and had his hands tied. Near the body, police found a 10-inch butcher knife, which is believed to be the murder weapon. He was identified this afternoon as 30-year-old Selvin Santos of Benque Viejo. His car was found burnt on the Banana Bank Road. Police would not discuss a possible motive, and say no suspects are detained at this time.
