A 14-month-old child drowned today in Corozal town. 23-year-old Alma Hall told police that sometime around 11:45 she went to the roadside to buy fish with her son Daniel Hall following her. Hall says after purchasing the fish she went back inside her home to clean it. After a few minutes she became concerned because her son was nowhere to be found. An immediate search was conducted and the infant was found inside a well that's in the yard. The well has two truck tires around it and was not covered at the time. It is believed the child climbed onto the tires and fell in.
