A Belize City man was stabbed yesterday afternoon. 31-year-old Lloyd Moss was at a shop on Police Street extension yesterday afternoon around 1:00, when he was approached by a man he only knows as Bernard. From his hospital bed today Moss told us that there was a confrontation based on money he owes Bernard's sister. And that's when hard words turned near fatal for Moss.

Lloyd Moss,
“I was at the shop talking to one my friends and at the same time this boy came and he asked me what went on with his sister. I told him that me and him didn’t have any dealings, it was me and his sister. So I told him to let his sister come and then he asked if I want to get it up. I said yes and at the same time I was sitting down at the shop, right on the counter, I was sitting down. When I was looking to jump down, that was the same time he came and he fired the knife and stabbed me. I didn’t expect it.

He came to collect a money from me for his sister and I told him I won’t give him any money, I will give it to his sister because I don’t have any conversation with him. It is between me and his sister have the business.”

Police are looking for the suspect while residents in the area tell us that they may not be looking well enough since the man who stabbed moss is still in the neighborhood and walking around freely.
