Last month, we told you about the burglars who cleaned out the offices of PASMO on Princess Margaret Drive. On the weekend of August 19th the thieves stole laptop computers, office equipment, condoms, and to make it all worse they then trashed the office. The burglary was also interesting because they hit PASMO twice in one weekend. Well there's been a major break in the investigation. Yesterday police tracked down two of the stolen laptops, peripherals and a digital camera. They charged one suspect and are tonight seeking another. Commander of the Criminal Investigations Branch at Eastern Division ASP Chester Williams filled us in.

ASP Chester Williams, CIB Commander
"Yesterday we recovered in relation to the PASMO burglary, two laptop computers and a digital camera which has been positively identified by the people from PASMO as being the property stolen from PASMO during a break in. We have also arrested and charged one Alex Olivera in relation to that particular crime."

Keith Swift,
So the laptops were found on whom?

ASP Chester Williams,
"He had sold them to separate people and through him we were able to recover these computers and the camera."

Keith Swift,
Will those people be charged for handling stolen goods?

ASP Chester Williams,
"At this point in time we are not contemplating to charge those persons for handling stolen goods but rather we'll be using them as witnesses against the person who was charged in relation to that crime."

Keith Swift,
Do you believe Mr. Olivera acted alone or did he have an accomplice?

ASP Chester Williams,
"Presently we are searching for a second suspect by the name of Ryan Arnold. He will be charged along with Alkex Olivera jointly for the break in at PASMO."

Again an all points bulletin has been issued for Ryan Arnold. Despite the burglary, PASMO continued to do its work of HIV outreach in schools and the community.
