Mail tampering - it's a most unpleasant invasion of privacy. But it does happen, in fact recently a mail man was found guilty of the offence. Today a parcel recipient came to us saying that her parcel had been pilfered. And, she says no one can explain to her who stole out of a box that had been sent to her from the U.S. She says the items are small but the act is no less of a crime.

Gloria Jones,
"He went and they opened it in front of him and the Customs Officer just dug up the thing and valued it because see here it states what is in there: two dozen underwear, a dozen socks, a dozen bras, along with a backup box and twelve pack of vest. All of these are not in the box. They took out nineteen of the underwear; out of two dozen they took out nineteen. And out of the brassiere they took out five because only seven are left in there. Well I went to ask them, because it is from them I got it, it is from the Post Office."

Alfonso Noble,
So but who do you think did it?

Gloria Jones,
"Well it has to be somebody in there. If it is not the Customs officer, it has to be some worker in there because it is during 12 and 1 he went for it. He went and came back because I sent him to see what was the value of the box. When he came back he brought the value of $53.83 and I got the money and I sent him back for it.

I just went to let them check and see if people are there stealing because how could the things have come out of the box. How could they have come out? I told them the Post Office couldn't take it. I told them that maybe the fan sucked it up in there because she told me no one there took it out so I told them maybe the fan sucked it up in there and they are in there. Just like that I told them."

Gloria Jones says she is now weary of any parcels that are sent to her through the post office.
