Teen Sentenced to Life for Planning Father's Murder

He was 15 when the court says he planned the murder of his own father, and now, a teenaged boy will spend the rest of his life in jail for it. Today Justice Troadio Gonzalez sentenced a now 18-year-old Sharim Baeza to life in prison. Baeza was convicted earlier this month for conspiracy to commit murder along with Giovanni Villanueva who was convicted of murder and Javier Villanueva for abetment to murder. Giovanni also got a life sentence and Javier was sentenced to 15 years.

35-year-old Wilfredo Baeza was killed in July of 2003. He was found murdered inside his bathroom in Corozal. The murder plot was reportedly hatched by Sharim and his then stepmother. The case against her never made it to court.
