He was beaten with a two by four and stoned with a cement block and today, 21 year old Evan Castillo told us he is lucky that he is able even to talk to us after the attack on Sunday morning in Dangriga. Around 4, Martinez was attacked after he left the Griga 2000 Nightclub with a friend. They were leaving the nightclub because Martinez's friend had an arrangement with someone. Martinez actually parted the fight which is why he can't understand why he was attacked. He spoke to us from his hospital bed today.

"I was going home and they hit me in my head a couple times, kicked in my stomach, and cut in my hand because I was trying to protect my head. I have a hit in my head, a swollen left arm, and my face on the left side is swollen. I also have some back injury. That is basically it."

"That is the thing which is still puzzling me, it is still kind of puzzling because I didn't have any part in it at all and the thing just backfired on me."
Police have charged 19-year-old Steven Flores, 22-year-old Ronald Gill, and 19-year-old Keon Castillo for dangerous harm. Martinez's condition continues to improve.
