Police Arrest Mark Seawell

Details are scarce at this hour, but 7NEWS has confirmed that early this afternoon, Belize police arrested Mark Seawell (Sewell) in the Belama area. He is now in custody.

Seawell is wanted by the United States which wants to try him for drug trafficking. The question now is whether he will go through extradition proceedings.

His brother Dwayne was apprehended in Jamaica last month, held on immigration charges, and then instead of being deported to Belize, has reportedly been sent to Miami into the custody U.S. federal agents.
