Police have arrested and charged a man after he shot at them. At around 11:30 last Thursday night, police saw 18-year-old Lincoln Sinclair driving a gold Cadillac Escalade on Princess Margaret Drive.

They tried to detain the vehicle but it took off with police in pursuit. But at Newtown Barracks, the Cadillac ran into a ditch. But when police attempted to approach, they say Sinclair extended his arm from the vehicle and fired several shots at them.

Police returned fire but the vehicle freed itself from the ditch and sped off eluding police. Police later picked up Sinclair at his residence on Logwood Street. They also found the vehicle abandoned on Vasquez Avenue. Police have since charged Sinclair with 5 counts of aggravated assault.

He appeared before Magistrate Sharon Frazer where he pleaded not guilty and was remanded to Hattieville Prison until April 16th. They are now looking into the possibility that the vehicle may have been stolen.

If the name Lincoln Sinclair sound familiar he is the one Superintendent Edward Broaster claim shot at him during a vehicle pursuit in May of last year.
