Stuart Sutherland Charged for Willow's Bank Murder

Stuart Sutherland, wanted for the murder of Gary Gabourel in Willow's Bank on Sunday morning, turned himself into Belize City police late yesterday evening. He was taken to court this morning where his arraignment on a charge of murder was delayed. He was arraigned eventually this afternoon on a single charge of murder and remanded into custody.

At the court, members of the Gabourel family were visible and vocal. They were familiar with Sutherland as a former associate of Gary Gabourel.

Investigators believe that he killed Gabourel in a dispute over a horse. Gabourel was at his Willow's Bank Farm doing yard work, when Sutherland allegedly went there on a bike, started and argument and then shot Gabourel in front of his family.
