Baltazar's murder was the weekend's second murder and the first was also in the Stann Creek District. The location was Alta Vista Village and it was equally brutal. Police say that after a confrontation with a group of Guatemalan men in Alta Vista Village late on Friday night, 30-year-old Ismael Castellanos was
chased down and viciously chopped to death.
Ismael Castellanos was reportedly drinking heavily on Friday night in Alta Vista Village with his brother Isidoro when they got into an argument with the group of Guatemalan men. The gang of Guatemalans reportedly chased the Castellanos brothers into an orange orchard.
Isidoro managed to escape but Ismael didn't. He was found dead in an orchard around 11:45. He had multiple chop wounds to his head and body. Police are seeking this man, Carlos Adelmito Zuniga and Neftali Cruz. They advise that both are considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with info can call 0-800-922-TIPS.
