He is accused of beating up his girlfriend but 20-year-old Brandon Hertular says he is the victim. Today in court Hertular was charged for the harm of Indiana Westby and released on bail. Story done right? Well not according to Brandon Hertular. He says he has the scratches and bruises to prove that he was in fact the one who was attacked. Police have not charged his girlfriend but that's not Brandon Hertular's number one priority. An at times teary eyed and angry Brandon told us this evening he fears for his life.
Brandon Hertular,
"I am to be charged with attempted rape and assaulting when I have already been charged with harm so I am very concerned especially with the people who are involved too and I fear that I might get charged for something which I didn't do. I am Hertular and everybody will try to judge me by my name and thing but I am one of the good ones. You can check my record and everything, everything is clean up to now until they are trying to pin a charge on me for harm."

What does this now do to your plans to enter the Police Department?
Brandon Hertular,
"I feel like all of my dreams are just crumbling down on me now. I know I didn't do anything and that is very hurtful for me right now. Right now I feel suicidal. I feel like to kill myself and all right now. so I just want everybody know that when they stumble on my body, they will know the reason why. It is something bias because they put off my report. I went in first and they ended up dealing with her one and detained me. That is bias."
Hertular believes that police plan to charge Hertular with attempted rape and common assault.
