They were busted in their home on Arlington drive with a gun and ammunition yesterday and today 21-year-old Delroy Matura and his cousin 24 year old Joseph Matura along with three minors appeared in court. Police have not been able to tie them or the gun to any robberies or the Jomo Lamb murder yet but Delroy was charged for keeping an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

Police say that when they entered the Matura house at 6 am on Thursday they caught Delroy attempting to throw a black Compact nine-millimeter pistol through the window. It was loaded with 15 live rounds and police found an additional three rounds in his pocket. A further search of the house led police to another 7 rounds of ammunition. His cousin Joseph along with the three minors were charged for the possession of those.

The police prosecutor objected to bail and Chief Magistrate Margaret McKenzie agreed. All five were remanded into custody until May 28th. Joseph and Delroy were sent to the Hattieville Prison while the minors were remanded to the Glen Quallo Youth Hostel.

In a related development, Julian Willoughby and Kareem Arnold have been charged for the robbery at Janel's Restaurant.

17-year-old Julian Willoughby was the one who had been charged for the murder of 4-year-old Oscar Velasquez who was found stuffed in a refrigerator.
