Angel Sanchez Run Over By A Bus

A man was knocked down and killed by a bus on Saturday morning in Belize City but the bus driver won't be going to jail. The accident occurred around 8:30 on Cemetery Road.

Bus driver Delroy Dawson told police he was driving his bus when a man suddenly appeared in front of him at the corner of Cemetery and Magazine Roads. Dawson says he was unable to avoid the collision. The victim was identified as 23-year-old Angel Sanchez who was pronounced dead on arrival at the KHMH.

Police say Delroy Dawson won't be charged because investigations show Dawson wasn't at fault. The family of Sanchez also hasn't requested court action.
