They were charged for murder but today a judge sent home Elvis Myers, Kevin Chavez, and Leon Tillet because no crown counsel was in court to prosecute them. Their freedom was however short lived because the Director of Public Prosecutions re-indicted them for murder and all three are back in jail tonight.

They are accused of killing Winfield Slusher Jr. in Gales Point on
December 26th of 2005. Their trial was supposed to start today but when no prosecutor showed up, Justice Troadio Gonzalez struck out the case against them for want of prosecution. Justice Gonzalez described the absence of the crown counsel as a blatant case of disrespect.
