Well-known sculptor Curl Gordon is tonight wanted by police. The 50 year old is wanted by police for questioning in connection with the alleged carnal knowledge of a 14-year-old girl. The incident allegedly occurred on Saturday night inside Gordon's home on Victoria Street. Police have been unable to locate Gordon and today the mother of his alleged victim reached out to 7NEWS. To protect the identity of the child, we can't show you the mother's face or tell you her name but we can let you hear her tearful plea for police to arrest her daughter's alleged molester. She spoke to Keith Swift off camera.
Mother of Alleged Victim,
"He took advantage of her and he chanced her and from since it happened, I can't sleep. I asked her to tell me what happened and she doesn't want to tell me. My neighbor called her and asked her what happened because she hasn't told me up to today until my neighbor called me and right in front of me she started to tell me what happened.
Up to now, if I go to sleep like minutes to nine, I get up like minutes to eleven and from then I don't go to sleep until about minutes to six and that is the time she gets up to school and then I can't go back to sleep. Sometimes the food that I usually eat I don't eat like first, it is just a little bit of food I eat.
So it is really bothering me because I really want them to catch him and put him behind bars because if they don't catch him, he will continue to do it with other people's children. I don't know if police are looking because it happened from Saturday and today is Tuesday now and they can't find him."
Police Press Officer G. Michael Reid says they are seeking Gordon for questioning. He says so far police have been unable to locate Gordon.
