Woman Shot in Drive By

A 37-year-old woman is lucky to be alive after she was shot in a drive by last night. Gail McKenzie was shot in the abdomen and is recovering at the KHMH. She declined our request for an interview, but is reported to be in a stable condition.

Last night at around 9:00, McKenzie was standing at the corner of Sittee and Ebony Streets with another woman when someone passed in a vehicle and fired a single shot. The woman she was next to happens to be a police constable who was not in uniform. One person has been detained.
