They say it was a group of three armed men that invaded the Bliss Center early Monday morning, and the news tonight is that police have charged one man for the crime in which money and weapons were stolen.

28-year-old Lijhon Franklin, better known as John Franklin from Plues Street in Belize City was picked up this morning. Police found him with one of the cell phones that had been stolen in the robbery. Police also arrested Franklin's girlfriend Julie Avila who was at home with him. They were both charged for handling stolen property and Franklin was also charged with aggravated burglary.

Police say they are still looking for his partners in crime and also for the three guns they stole from Bliss security.

John Franklin first rose to notoriety in July of 2001 when Businessman Sydney Sikaffy shot him in the midsection as he was pulling off an armed robbery of Sikaffy's Store on Albert Street. His partner in crime at that time Erlin Budran was shot in the back and died from his injury. Because it was in the defense of his property and his wife who the pair had assaulted, Sikaffy was not charged for the shooting.
