Andy Palacio Wins WOMEX Award

Andy Palacio's new album Watina has already climbed to number one on the European World Music Charts, but now he is receiving what is perhaps an even greater honor. WOMEX, the World Music Expo, which is the largest showcase and market place of world music has honored Palacio and his producer Ivan Duran with the 2007 WOMEX Award. The award is given to honor the best in world music annually. In recognition of this prestigious international honor, we leave you this evening with a clipof Andy and the Garifuna Collective performing the song "Beiba" at the Bliss Center last month.
