The feeder roads off the left side of the Western Highway between the city and mile three have become known as dumping grounds for killers in the last 5 years when at least four murder victims were found between miles two and four. So that's why when the media got information this morning that the body of an unidentified man was found at Belizean Beach, everyone rolled out. But in this case, it wasn't murder, but the death of a man, an epileptic who had a strange premonition of his own demise. Here's the story.

Jules Vasquez Reporting,
This is Godwin Errol Slusher. His body was found under this structure near the shoreline of Belizean Beach at mile three on the Western Highway. Like any sudden death - police treated it seriously, even though there were no outward signs of foul play.

G. Michael Reid, Police Press Officer
"The individual was found under a structure, an incomplete structure, at the Belizean Beach area. He is clad in only some black pants with no shirt. Apparently he has had some difficulty, there are signs of a few scrapes and bruises on his body but not anything that would seem that he was assaulted in anyway. Police are not suspecting foul play."

Shortly after, his brother Cornell Ferguson identified the body. He says his brother had been an epileptic for the past two years. He says he had and left his Faber's road home on Saturday night with a grim premonition.

Cornell Ferguson, Brother of Deceased
"According to his son, he had some clothes and thing and he told his son to let his mom take what she wants and for him to take the rest of clothes because he would die, just like that. That is what his son told me. In a way I expected it because he has been catching seizures and thing so I expected it. From the time no one saw him around Belize who knows him and thing because I was taking around the picture to show people and thing and nobody saw him. A lot of people knew him and nobody saw him so I expected something like this."

Jules Vasquez,
Do you feel in some sense that he came up here for this?

Cornell Ferguson,
"I would say so too. Maybe he didn't want it to happen home around his kids. So maybe he came all the way up here for it."

Godwin Slusher was 40 years old. No post mortem has yet been conducted to confirm the cause of death.
