Family of 3 Dead from Belmopan Traffic Accident

And one more person has died as a result of yesterday’s road fatality on the Western Highway. 32-year-old Ana Canizalez died at about 5:00am this morning. She was in the cab when the vehicle flipped and received serious head and body injuries. She is the mother of the 11-month-old Martha Barrera who died shortly after the accident. The infant was reportedly on her mother’s lap when she was flung from the vehicle. Their father and husband, Juan Francisco Barrera was in the pan of the s-19 truck and died on the spot. 4 other persons received varying degrees of injury, and 3 of them are still hospitalized.
