Allen Saum - you may remember his name as the U.S. oil prospector turned whistle blower. He went public on Wave Radio alleging that functionaries of the government had hustled him for $100,000. He claims they told him that if he didn't give them the money, he wouldn't get a production sharing agreement for his uncle's company Miles Tropical Energy.

Well, Miles got the contract, but Allen Saum isn't through with those he claims give him a ride for his money. Apparently, he's got volumes of conversations recorded with those trying to hustle him. This morning on Wave Radio one more tape was released where purportedly another principal of Miles Tropical was complaining to a well connected friend of the government that he had already paid $50,000 and was reluctant to pay another.

Well shortly after Wave aired that, Orange Walk Police stormed into Hotel de la Fuente Hotel and raided Allen Saum's room. He says they told him that someone complained that he pulled a gun on them. But they found no gun, and Saum was not detained. We're told there are many more recordings, so we'll have to wait and see if there are more raids to follow.
