Belmopan police say that it was an act of revenge that ended the life of twenty seven year old Clementine Enriquez, a resident of St. Margaret's Village in the Cayo District. Around three thirty on Monday morning, Enriquez was found lying in a pool of blood outside Jacklyn's Bar. The business owner Joel Reymundo reported to police that he was home when he heard noises coming from the front porch of his establishment. Reymundo went out to see what was happening and found Enriquez bleeding profusely from several chop wounds to the head. Enriquez was rushed to the Western Regional Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police investigations have led them to detain thirty five year old Alejandro Hernandez Damian, a resident also from the village. Authorities would not say why they believe Hernandez Damian is their murder suspect but told 7NEWS that it is not the first time that the victim had been attacked. Police say that for sometime now Enriquez has had problems with a number of individuals from the village that they believe have been the result of an ongoing dispute. The victim only recently had checked himself out of the hospital where he was recovering from chop wounds he had received also to the head.

On Wednesday Alejandro Hernandez Damian is expected to be charged for murder.
