Keon Swasey & Dain Canto Charged for Shooting Roy Bennett

Roy Bennett was shot a week ago -the second time in less than a year - and today police charged his alleged shooters. 19 year old Keon Swasey and 19 year old Dain Canto were arraigned in Magistrate's Court jointly for attempted murder.

As we reported, Bennett was a friend's house on January 9th when he heard a noise. He peeped out and that's when he saw a man with a stocking over his face. Bennett says that man then turned the gun on him. Four shots were fired and three hit Bennett. He is still recovering. Swasey and Canto were denied bail and remanded to the Hattieville Prison until February 27th. Bennett is the son of peace activist Therese Felix. Two of her sons Tyrone and Faron have already been killed.
