They are accused of stealing 9 bottles of $5 Pedialyte and 3-$4 bottles of Prosure Milk from a doctor’s office. That only adds up to $57 but it was enough to send a 15 year old minor and 31 year old Jason Clarke to jail. The pair allegedly broke into the office of pediatrician Cardo Martinez at the Medical Plaza on Freetown road on Sunday.
At 3:30 am on Sunday morning, police visited the office and saw that 4 glass louvers were missing from a window of the upper flat and a wooden ladder was against the building. Police used the ladder and entered the building, where they found the 15-year-old and Jason Clarke aka Dominic hiding in the ceiling. Both persons were taken from the ceiling and Clarke jumped out of a window and escaped. He was later recaptured.
They were arraigned yesterday in court. Both men pled not guilty and the case was adjourned to march 18th. The police prosecutor objected to bail and Chief Magistrate Margaret McKenzie concurred.
