They are awaiting trial for the most reported-on murders of 2007, but tonight Taedron (Taejron) Bennett and Joseph Kee are in the news for another offence. Kee 29, and Bennett 27 were today taken to Magistrate’s Court, along with alleged drug dealer 38 year old Mark Seawell who is awaiting extradition and another man, former death row inmate Nicholas Antonio Guevarro.

All 4 were charged with drug trafficking after being busted with 244 grams, about half a pound, of marijuana in their cell a the Hattieville Prison. Police report that yesterday at 10:00, prison security officer Rose Kelly searched their cell in the tango 6 area she found two stashes of marijuana in cell #1 occupied by the four men.

In court the men were represented by attorney, Richard “Dickie” Bradley. They all pleaded not guilty to the charge. All four remain on remand for different offences. They were escorted to prison under heavy guard from the Anti Drug Unit.
