And while the murder rate is on a record pace – some city dwellers are surprised that the numbers aren’t even higher. And that’s because in some areas, the staccato sound of gunshots pierce the night. And that’s what happened this morning at about 6:30, in the Tigris and Basra Street areas. Residents called police after they heard a scatter of between 4 and 6 gunshots.

When a patrol team responded, they didn’t find the gunman, but they did come upon Brandon Taylor, who is wanted for shooting a man two weeks ago. Brandon Taylor is wanted for the attempted murder of Carl Bradley which occurred on April 4th. At the time, police say he was shooting wildly in the Rocky Road area, and hit Carl Bradley, while also damaging a car.
