Smith Says Possum Shot Him

Tonight a twenty seven year old man is recovering from a gunshot wound to his ankle that he got 9 days ago. It had gone un-reported but through the intervention of the CYDP, Twyford Smith was convinced to make a report. He told the police that a man he knows only as “Possum” shot him while he was riding his bicycle on Mahogany Street on the morning of Tuesday May 13th.

Smith says as he reached the corner of Mahogany and Mopan Streets, Possum took out a nine milimeter pistol from his pants waist, pointed it and fired two shots. One of the bullets caught Smith just above his left ankle. According to reports, Possum had just been released from the Hattieville Prison.
