..It’s an upscale hair salon on the city’s north side, and yesterday one of the clients of Abraham’s Hair Moda was jacked right outside the building at the corner of Blue Marlin Drive and University Heights Boulevard.
Just after 10:00 am, 41 year old Eugenie Aguilar was leaving Abraham’s when a man put a handgun to her head. He then took her $500 Coach handbag with all its contents including a $2,000 Armani cell phone. Aguilar cried out for help but no one came to her rescue and the gunman then demanded that she get into the her 2002 Toyota Land Cruiser with him. She refused, handed him the key and ran back into the salon. That’s when he drove off.
Usually that’s the end of the story, but a short time later police found the Land Cruiser abandoned on Cran Street with the purse and cell phone in it. The only thing that was missing was $120 in cash. No one has been detained and police are investigating.
