8 Year Old Boy Killed in Accident Involving A BDF Truck

A BDF soldier is in the custody of the army tonight pending charges for a fatal traffic accident in which an 8 year old boy was killed. It happened at 6:10 on Thursday evening. That is when is 8 year old Marcus Shol got off a bus and attempted to cross the highway, at Medina Bank Village, between miles 62 and 63 on the Southern Highway. The bus had pulled over to the shoulder of the highway and 8 year old Marcus was attempting to dash across but at the same time a BDF pickup was overtaking and Marcus ran into the side of it. He died instantly form massive injuries.

A post mortem was conducted this afternoon. Police are awaiting a directive from the DPP on whether the soldier will be charged.
