It is police week and while the department has its hands filled with the recent surge in murders out west, the week will be filled with events that highlight the good work the police does and areas that need improvement. An award ceremony was held yesterday where about 50 officers received service and meritorious awards. Tonight it will be your turn. A town hall meeting starts at 7 at the Holy Redeemer Parish Hall. Police Press Officer Clemente Palacio told us why you should come out.
Clemente Palacio, Police Press Officer
“We are asking the public to attend and of course we are going to have four distinguished panellists, they are going to talk on that topic, and we would hope that the community’s participation leads to the result that we are looking after. The panellists are Mr. Godwin Hulse, well known to all Belizeans. We also have Mr. Tom Greenwood and Mr. Kevin Herrera and Mr. Bert Tucker. Additionally we have Mr. Austin Flores as well. These gentlemen, they are going to be presenting a 15 minute presentation and of course we are going to have an hour question and answer segment.”
Again that town hall meeting starts at 7 pm and it is at the Holy Redeemer Parish Hall.
