Corozal police say a man hit his wife and then committed suicide. It happened on Saturday evening in the Chula Vista area of Corozal Town. At 5:30, 23 year old Vianni Oliva found her common law husband, 40 year old Rene Loria hanging from one of the beams on the house. She told police that they were arguing a few hours earlier when he hit her. She went to the police station to make a report and when she returned later, he had already hanged himself.
