Another family was lucky to escape from fire this weekend - except they weren’t in their home, they were in a minivan. It happened near Blackman Eddy Village where as these pictures show, the family vehicle was consumed by fire – causing quite a scene on the roadside.

It happened on Sunday morning when an electrical fault in the Dodge Astro caused the fire. Police have not released the names, but we have learned that three people were inside – two parents and their child. No one was hurt, and they got out of the car without incident. But they report losses of $500 for the property that was inside the vehicle. The minivan itself had a value of ten thousand dollars.
