Police have detained the man who they say shot noel Herrera in the face outside the Belmopan Magistrate’s Court yesterday morning. He is Michael Broaster – a 30 year old security guard from Roaring Creek. He turned himself into Belmopan Police yesterday.
As we reported, Herrera and Broaster had an altercation outside the courthouse and that’s when Broaster pulled out a small.25 pistol and allegedly and shot Herrera. He fled but later surrendered. Yesterday’s shooting is part of an ongoing battle between rival groups in Roaring Creek Village, namely the Outlawz and the Rudeboiz.
Broaster will be arraigned in court tomorrow.
