Earlier this week, a 16 year old was caught with a cellular phone stolen from security company owner Gary Gentle. That was taken one week ago when gentle was in an East Canal barbershop. At about 7:20 in the evening, two men stormed in, snatched his chain, stole his pistol and his cell phone.
Some days later, Humes was allegedly found in possession of the cell phone and charged for handling stolen goods. And last night that same teenager was shot. Shakeem Humes, a student of an East Canal address was riding his bicycle at the corner of Euphrates Avenue and Dean Street around 8:00 last night when he was shot to the foot.
He did not see who shot him and police did not recover any expended shells.
