He was on parole but tonight convicted rapist Barry Robinson is back in jail. That is because Robinson along with Robert Jeffries, another parolee, and Barry’s younger brother Leon Robinson were charged with burglary for breaking into the home of Kimana Davis on East Collet Canal. The alleged burglary occurred between December 22nd of last year and January 7th of this year which is when Davis was away in the states.

Davis returned Monday and that’s when she opened her door and found her laptop, blender, television sets, VCR, jewellery, cell phones, and even a bicycle missing– all to a value of just over $7,000. Police believe the trio are also the men who burglarized the home of Davis’ upstairs neighbour Egbert Seward and stole about $2,000 of his belongings.

Police charged the three men after they recovered some of the stolen items at their homes. They were detained on Tuesday and formally charged today. They all pleaded not guilty but bail was denied to parolees Robert Jeffries and Barry Robinson. Jeffries is on parole after he was convicted of handling stolen goods. Barry Robinson was on parole for a rape conviction in which former UDP standard bearer Marissa Quan was involved. Leon Robinson was granted bail but he was unable to meet it.
