The Parents of Children with Special Needs now has a resource center. Right now it’s just a building which the International Women’s Club handed over to PACSN this morning. It is located at the corner of Applestar and Sunrise Streets in the Coral Grove area. The International Women’s Club’s Lourdes Gallaty told us why they decided to help.

“We searched various areas and this was the one we thought we needed more attention to the make the people aware of disability in the country.”

“This is a resource center. Parents will be able to come in get information and to get the information and referral to where they could take the child with special needs. This is important because we notice the population is increasing among people with disability and the information, most of the times parents don’t know where to go but by this center here and the kind donations done by the International Women’s Club we feel that this will benefit a lot of people directly.”
